Whole Trade Certifier Partners

Experts in Quality and Compassion

We work with a variety of certifiers to accommodate the breadth of the Whole Trade Guarantee initiative and to foster healthy competition while continuing to expand the variety of products involved.

Our partners certify products to meet the four key criteria required by Whole Trade Guarantee: quality, premium price to the producer, better wages and working conditions, and the environment.

Fair Trade Certified

TransFair USA™

TransFair USA, a nonprofit organization, is one of twenty members of Fairtrade Labeling Organizations International (FLO). They audit transactions between U.S. companies offering Fair Trade Certified™ products and the international suppliers from whom they source, in order to guarantee that the farmers and farm workers behind Fair Trade Certified goods are paid a fair, above-market price. In addition, annual inspections conducted by FLO ensure that strict socioeconomic development criteria are being met using increased Fair Trade revenues. Fair Trade Certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace.

Products certified include: coffee, tea, rice, cocoa, sugar, vanilla, fresh fruit, honey, wine, and flowers

Rainforest Alliance

Rainforest Alliance

The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit conservation organization that certifies farms, ensuring that they meet rigorous standards for the conservation of natural resources and the rights and welfare of workers and local communities.

The Rainforest Alliance works with people, whose livelihoods depend on the land, helping them transform the way they grow food, harvest wood and host travelers. From large multinational corporations to small, community-based cooperatives, they involve businesses and consumers worldwide in their efforts to bring responsibly produced goods and services to a global marketplace where the demand for sustainability is growing steadily.

Products certified include: bananas, citrus, coffee, cacao and flowers

Fair For Life

Fair For Life

The Institute for Marketecology (IMO) Social & Fair Trade Certification ensures that human rights are guaranteed at any stage of production, workers enjoy good and fair working conditions and that smallholder farmers receive a fair share.
